Connect with Jeff Sherwood, SKYTRAC’s Director of Business Development, at XPO 23 by attending his session on May 9th, from 3 – 3:25 pm in the Innovation Theater.
Every year, the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) – the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to advancing uncrewed systems, robotics, and autonomy, hosts XPONENTIAL.
The uncrewed systems community gathers during XPONENTIAL to collaborate and learn from users, technologists, and policymakers who attend to gain insight into the industry. This year, XPONENTIAL will be asking how the industry will be acting on the autonomous community’s collective blueprint – a goal looking towards operationalizing and integrating uncrewed systems. Their focus is on how we will work together to integrate these systems so the industry can achieve full adoption as smoothly and quickly as possible. XPONENTIAL hosts several keynote speakers, leads specialized workshops, and touts an expansive tradeshow floor to enable industry experts to share their knowledge and products and educate other interested parties.
One of these industry experts is SKYTRAC’s very own Jeff Sherwood, who will speak to how the UAV segment can effectively utilize satellite technologies to provide guaranteed global coverage for their aerial assets.
Autonomous Technologies: How BVLOS Applies to More Than Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles
Sherwood will specifically discuss how, within the growing uncrewed aerial sector, the reliance on cellular network connectivity poses drawbacks in the context of safety and efficiency. He will present how satellite technologies, particularly Low Earth Orbit (LEO) networks, can provide truly global connectivity to aerial assets, thereby ensuring that human control is always accessible beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS). The discussion will highlight how integrating cost-effective LEO satellite connectivity solutions enables BVLOS capabilities to deliver reliable and efficient communications to send and receive data and imagery for mission-based UAVs.
Join Sherwood on Tuesday, May 9th, from 3:00 pm to 3:25 pm at booth 1527 in the Innovation Theater during XPONENTIAL 2023 to discover how LEO satellite networks can enable BVLOS capabilities applicable to unmanned vehicle industries across the globe.
